- 27,000 sq ft fit out delivered for £4 million
Carter Jonas was appointed by Pay.UK to provide full project management services for the relocation and fit out of their new 27,000 sq ft headquarters in Whitechapel, London.
From the outset, our team supported the selection of the building, guided technical lease negotiations, defined the programme and procurement route, and established the project budget before assembling the design team.
A key requirement of the project was to maximise reuse of existing elements such as partitioning, flooring and furniture, aligning closely with the client’s sustainability goals. Working with architects Manalo & White and M&E engineers The Anslow Partnership, we oversaw the concept and spatial design through to RIBA Stage 3. We then led a competitive tender process in collaboration with Core 5 Cost Consultancy, ultimately appointing BW on a Design & Build basis.
Throughout the programme, Carter Jonas ensured fast track delivery without compromising quality, supported by rigorous change control, clear governance, and close stakeholder engagement. The final workspace integrates reused materials seamlessly into a modern, cohesive environment. The project completed on time and on budget in July 2025, with Pay.UK praising the improved efficiency and employee experience of their new single floor operational model.
