Carter Jonas has promoted David Walker as Head of Consents in its Infrastructures and Energy team.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the consenting and environmental assessment profession, David joined Carter Jonas as a partner in London last year. He is now leading the firm's national infrastructure consenting offering, building on its already strong pipeline of mandates to support the delivery of transformational and positive Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) that will contribute to the UK's infrastructure landscape for years to come.In his new role, David will work with colleagues across the country gaining consents for client projects as well as providing authorities and claimants with specialist compensation services and support across the life of nationally significant projects.
Prior to joining Carter Jonas, David was based at High Speed 2 Limited for six years, where he was the lead for environment on the hybrid Bill for Phase 2b. He had also previously served as Director of Major Infrastructure and Environment at Stantec UK and as a Partner in the Communities and Environment team at Peter Brett Associates.
