The race is on for cyclists to secure their place in this year’s Carter Jonas LandAid Pedalthon, on Friday 12 May. Now in its fourth year the 2017 cycle, with rides along part of Yorkshire’s iconic Tour de France route, is set to be the best yet with a number of sponsors already on board.

Last year over £15,000 was raised for LandAid, the property industry charity working to end youth homelessness in the UK, and this year the target is set to exceed last year’s total.  

Supported by independent Yorkshire brewer, T&R Theakston Ltd, the ride will start and end at the historic Theakston brewery in Masham. Riders will again be given the choice of two rides – the 80 mile challenge or a 40 mile social ride - through the picturesque Yorkshire landscape. Last year’s event, organised by Iconic Cycling Events, attracted more than 300 riders including teams from more than 70 companies from across the UK.

“When you see the effects of LandAid’s work and the positive impact it has on the lives of so many young people, you realise what a vital charity it is, and the importance of fundraising efforts such as ours. Because of this we are extremely excited to launch our fourth Carter Jonas LandAid Pedalthon. The day combines many things about which we are passionate: firstly showcasing Yorkshire - which is one of our key business centres; cycling, which some are perhaps more keen on than others!; as well as networking and enjoying great local food and drink with colleagues and friends, all whilst supporting and raising money for LandAid.”

Up until the 31 March there is an early bird entry fee of £50 per rider or £250 per team of 6.
