Approximately 1500 acres of arable land are to be offered for rent in North Hampshire on the Stratfield Saye Estate.

This results from the decision of Stratfield Saye Farms to cease arable farming and concentrate on its beef livestock enterprise. The land is to be offered for tender in three lots of around 500 acres each for a term of 5 years from 29 September 2010.

It is anticipated that this will attract substantial interest as the market is generally under supplied with land to rent and the block sizes are well suited to the professional farmer. 

Partner Christopher D’Olley in Newbury, who is handling the letting, states that “not only has the ground been particularly well farmed but it is also very picturesque and a rare opportunity for farmers to develop their businesses by renting additional acres”.
