03 September 2015, Our Cambridge Planning Team is pleased to report that we have assisted Granta Park Estates in securing a resolution to grant planning permission from South Cambridgeshire District Council on 2nd September 2015, for approximately 55,000m2 (592,015 sq.ft) of new Research and Development buildings. The two applications comprise a full application for a R&D building comprising 21,000m2 earmarked for Illumina a global leader in genomic analysis and diagnostics; and an outline consent for a series of research and development buildings (34,000m2) located around a central landscaped park. The two related schemes represent a major expansion to Granta Park and are of both local and national significance.
