On 14 August, Katherine Jones (Associate Partner in the South and South West P&D Team) competed for Team GB in the sprint distance triathlon at the 2022 European Championships in Munich.

The Championships was the biggest sporting event in Germany since the 1972 Summer Olympics and took place in the Olympic Park. A total of 1540 athletes from 47 nations competed in the event which ran from 11-21 August.

The event kicked off with the Elite and Age-Group sprint triathlon championship races on the opening weekend, and was followed by athletics, road cycling, rowing and a number of other Olympic sports over the following week.

Great Britain’s Age-Group triathlon team came away with 25 medals in the sprint race, including 9 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze medals. Katherine finished as 10th British female and has qualified to represent the GB team again in 2023.
