The campus comprises multiple buildings, including the five-storey Grade II* Listed Surrey County Hall, which served as the administrative headquarters for Surrey County Council (SCC) since it was built in the 1893. 

It is strategically located on the fringe of Kingston town centre and between Kingston University's newly completed Town House building, which was named as one of Britain's best new buildings in the 2021 RIBA National Award for architecture and the River Thames. 

Following SCC’s move to the former Canon building in Reigate, the County Hall campus was declared surplus to requirements, openly marketed and subsequently acquired by RER London in 2019. The building is now being promoted for mixed use development comprising refurbishment of the historic buildings and complimentary new build development. Specifically, once complete the scheme will comprise in excess of 300 residential units in addition to commercial space proposed to be occupied by workspace provider The Trampery.
