Carter Jonas and Crossland Otter Hunt have launched 3,262 sq ft of newly refurbished office space at 5-8 The Sanctuary, SW1P to the market on behalf of DTZ Investors.

An iconic grade II listed building, 5-8 The Sanctuary is adjacent to Westminster Abbey and in close proximity to the Houses of Parliament in the heart of the capital. Its third floor has been newly refurbished to a contemporary specification with works undertaken by CogentBC and West 1.

Commenting on the refurbishment, Lee Turrell of Cogent BC said:

"We are pleased to have delivered the CAT A refurbishment of the third floor of this landmark building. Working alongside the main contractor – West 1, a full services upgrade, including the installation of a new energy-efficient VRF heating and cooling system, helped to achieve an EPC B rating while still maintaining the character of the historic grade II listed space. The completion of the third floor follows the successful transformation of other floors within the building.”

This renovation has significantly enhanced the energy efficiency of the property, resulting in an improvement from an E to a B EPC rating. Additionally, the available space on the fourth floor has undergone refurbishment offering fully fitted accommodation.

Carter Jonas and Crossland Otter Hunt are now marketing office spaces in the building, with availability ranging from 1,012 sq ft to 3,262 sq ft.

Ed Caines, Partner, Commercial, Carter Jonas commented:

“The newly refurbished space offers potential occupiers modern, energy-efficient accommodation while maintaining the historic charm of the property. Its central location near St James's Park and Westminster underground stations, as well as Victoria station, and a fantastic range of amenities and green spaces make it an attractive option for businesses.”

Rebecca Burley and Archie Hodgson, DTZ Investors, added:

“We are delighted with the recent refurbishment of the third floor at 5-8 The Sanctuary, providing modern office accommodation within this historic building. The removal of gas heating systems to the new VRF system underlines our commitment to responsible investments, and supports our transition of assets in accordance with our Net Zero Pathway.”
