National property consultancy Carter Jonas has strengthened its Building Consultancy and Project Management team, recruiting Lee Marple as a Partner and head of project management in London. His appointment follows Shaun Wilkes and Alan Doherty, who joined the business to lead building surveying offerings in Birmingham and Cambridge, respectively.

Lee has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, 19 of which were at Cushman & Wakefield where he ran its project management team. He has also held roles at several other consultancies including Gerald Eve.

At Carter Jonas, Lee will support the continued growth of its project management capabilities, with a particular focus on the London commercial fit-out market. He has extensive experience in major projects across the UK having fitted out and refurbished more than four million sq ft of office space for clients as diverse as Amazon, The Financial Ombudsman and The Canal & River Trust.

Shaun has joined as a Partner from Hollis. With more than 18 years of property and construction experience, he has worked with a variety of clients in the public and private sectors. Leading the firm’s Building Consultancy in the West Midlands, he is responsible for all elements of service delivery including brief definition, analysis of client requirements, delivery strategy, resourcing, and client reporting. Shuan specialises in technical due diligence and building surveys, supporting clients with the acquisition and transaction of large property portfolios and individual-built assets. 

Alan has joined from Pick Everard as a Partner in the Cambridge office to oversee the development of Building Consultancy in Cambridge and the Eastern Region. He has over 25 years of experience in surveying, design, construction and project management. He has previously led several successful teams, working on a variety of schemes in various sectors such as residential, offices, education, central government and healthcare. As an expert communicator, he is now driving cross-divisional opportunities between Carter Jonas’ wider business including, investment, estate management, planning and development services.
