Carter Jonas has sold a 3.25-acre residential development site in Markington, North Yorkshire, to award winning house builder Mulgrave Properties on behalf of the landowner and Promoter, KCS Developments.
Carter Jonas and KCS sought planning permission for 25 dwellings before taking the site to the market.
Formerly High Mill Farm, the site is situated centrally within Markington directly south of the High Street. The land is bounded by open fields and countryside to the south and east.
Markington is a village in the Harrogate District of North Yorkshire. It benefits from a good range of amenities including an Ofsted “Outstanding” primary school, pub and a combined post office and village shop. Markington is well located circa 6.5 miles north of Harrogate and 5 miles from Ripon.
Dan Sherwood, Associate Partner, Carter Jonas said: “The site is a prime development opportunity in a well-located village within the commuter belt of Harrogate, Leeds and York. Markington is close to the historic Fountains Abbey World Heritage Site and is a characterful village with its own cricket club. New homes in this location should prove popular with families.”
